Forgot to check how Spain did in Beijing-no doubt by the time London arrives the Catalans (like our friends North of the Border) will have demanded their own team.
Wonder if the SNP would have been so vocal without Hoy?
(that should wind our Northern cousins up some what but that is nothing to Val's wrath-she is half Scottish).

ps. It is surprising we won anything - the schools ban sports days because "we have to be a team not individuals "and the Labour Government has sold off 2000+ sports fields and I cannot remember when a new pool was opened.
Three legged races ,sack races , and egg & spoon races are banned in schools because of the "Elf n Safety" police.
Role on the Commonwealth games - crown green bowling,tug of war,long plunge,french cricket and synchronised skipping will sort out the men from the boys. Loads more medals methinks!
