Posted - 26/02/2009 : 09:10:51 After such a bad winter in Tossa it looks as if the Council has been busy-the beach is looking really tidy today and the tractor marks are quite visable. Let us hope they get some visitors this year what with the € and the depression (to use PM speak) but I noticed that many hotels (including Florida) have pegged their prices for 2009.

Posted - 06/03/2009 : 10:31:31 I'M STILL ALIVE, but i don't know about others. According to our informer the council have still a great deal of work to do and Easter is approaching fast. Maybe the 'powers that be' want visitors to see the damage and then make donations towards repair work Everything looks so peaceful and calm on the web-cam, but i think it is giving everyone a false impression of battered Tossa

Posted - 27/02/2009 : 17:46:32 Junio-so nice to see the forum and you are still alive, I thought everyone had been in hibernation I also thought every one had been busy on other forums moaning about MOL and his €1 charge to use the loo on Ryanair. |

Posted - 26/02/2009 : 10:58:43 According to our friend who lives there, the council have not been doing much work except on the main beach. The concrete posts on the promenade leading to Mar Menuda, which were totally destroyed, have still not been renewed, paving flags that were uprooted are still waiting to be repaired and the Town Hall seems to be in disarray with hardly any staff or funds . It sounds as if the Depression has hit Tossa at last!
