Has anyone been to San Feliu for the day?
We are thinking of taking a boat trip there in September if it's cloudy and we can't make the beach.
It looks nice from what we've seen on the tourist board website, but some first hand accounts would be helpful! Also, any recommendations on where to have lunch?

Have been to San Feliu a couple of times when we hired a car. The coast road is very 'twisty turny' but has some lovely views! What we liked about San Feliu is that although it has a fab beach the town is very 'Spanish' and not overly touristy. Lots of nice places to eat and drink and good shopping too. Would love to have tried the boat trip but as we go early or late season it's never running when we're there.

We went to Tossa last week and had a lovely time but it was much busier than when we have been before (May, June and early July). The good thing was all the trips are running and we got to San Feliu on the Viages boat. The Dofi jet goes there as well and there is even a bus trip there and back once a day. San Feliu is very nice with a lovely beach. It was quiet too and we had a great pizza up the end of the main road from the beach. The trips go all the way to Palamos so may try that one year.

Yes! the boat still runs regularly to san felieu and back during the Summer and it's well worth the trip. Don't think that there is a direct bus.Probably you would have to take the Girona one and change there.

Hello I am the new girl-Janet from Portsmouth. We are looking forward to coming to Tossa in June but would like to go to San Feliu de Gioux for a day trip. Is there still a boat that goes there and is there a bus as well? Thanks.

WE made the boat trip to San F. in '87 and really enjoyed our day. We took a picnic plus a litre of red wine(in a carton)with us, and after a stroll round the town, which is really Spanish and not spoilt, the sun appeared, so settled down on the beach to eat(and drink) We missed the next boat back, so had to wait until late afternoon for the next. By this time the wind had got up, so we had a very rough sail back to Tossa I was OK but Bill is not very happy on water and was a lovely shade of green when we disembarked and we made our way to Claudi's for a large brandy
