We always stay in the Hotel Costa Brava and we love it.

The staff are very friendly and helpful, the rooms are a good size and are always kept very clean, the pool is lovely and the jacuzzi and gym area is excellent.

There is internet access in the bar area which is really handy, plus a TV room with a huge screen, and a cosy lounge area, as well as a terrace overlooking the pool where you can also enjoy a drink.

The evening entertainment is good and the bar staff provide a top rate service.

One thing - it should be four stars not three!

Just picked up this post on another Tossa site from a recent visitor to the Hotel Costa Brava and I thought to copy it here for those fans of the CB to see how others rate it.

"Heaven & Hell.
The heaven refers to upstairs in this hotel, ie: rooms, cleaning, bar , reception, pool , entertainment and staff - I have no complaints at all with any of these
The hell refers to the dining room particularly two members of staff one called CARMEN , who was rude ,abrupt and most unhelpful, I don't think she smiled for two weeks. Because we were a party of six with a baby we had to rearrange the seats to accommodate the baby chair which sent her berserk raising her voice and gesticulating and leaving dirty plates on the table until we asked her to take them away. The other person was called TINA who was not as bad as Carmen but she also was rude abrupt and unhelpful and had to be asked to remove dirty plates between courses"

As we have not stayed here we wouldn't know whether this is an occasional unhappy client or is the hotel going off....

We have stayed at the Oasis and the Alaska in the past, when we haven't been able to book the Costa Brava. A couple of times we have booked in at the Oasis and been tranferred at our request to the CB by the manager, because we prefer it. Most of the staff working at the Oasis have been trained at the CB anyway and are still our friends BUT we prefer the COSTA BRAVA for it's location, it's friendly atmosphere, it's cleanliness AND we get the same room every year PLUS a couple(who shall be nameless) in the room above AND they deliver the daily paper to us by washing-line nearly every evening.
The will be there now BUT we are stuck in the Northwest of England. At least the sun is shining, when it doesn't look so good in the Costa Brava. Hope it improves for all of you over the weekend. Forums © 2000-05 Snitz Communications Go To Top Of Page
