We are counting down to our holiday in Tossa (20 days). I wondered if anyone ever gets their holiday money when they get to Spain and how it works out compared to changing up your money before you go? The exchange rate is so awful but I cannot seem to find out what the rate is in Spain. Any ideas?

The rate of exchange is better, so we usually change our money when we get there, just having enough over from the previous holiday to pay for our taxi and basic essentials on the first day. The 'Cambio' shops will give you a better rate than the hotels and we use the one in the main shopping street opposite Claudi's gift shop. It's family owned, speak very good English, are very polite and if you are lucky, they'll give you a free postcard. Just hope that the euro improves in the next few weeks, otherwise we shall have to take more poud notes with us in June

Thank you for the advice. Do you know how to find the rate of exchange for pounds to euros in Spain before we go? Thanks.
