Have just been looking on the Forum and see that there are no posts this year so thought that I'd just say Hello to all my fellow Tossa lovers. We went to Tossa in May this year and had a great time and lovely weather and so we've decided to go back again in September. It was very quiet there in May so we'll see what September's like. We found it very sad going to Bar Elsa without Pedro and his wife there but we hope their daughter can make a go of it. Hope everyone else has had a chance to visit as well. Pauline

It is do sad that this wonderful chat room for people who LOVE Toss de Mar, seams to have lost its way. I must my wife Ann and I have not been on in a couple of years mainly because we both are suffering from poor health. nWe are coming back to Tossa de Mar on the 13th June 2016, We miss the town and the many many friends who live and work in and around the area.

I was having a nostalgic look at the forum this morning (Quite Times) in particular like PM and Old codger I find it sad that this forum has “lost its way”.
My wife and I have been going every year for nearly 30 years now and have found many changes, mainly good the core of Tossa remains the same with many shops going upmarket, likewise hotels like the old Soms Park which has lain empty all my lifetime has been taken over by GHT Hotel group and is now the Sa Reira now a 4* and looks very nice.
Sad as it is Bar Elsa had to close it has now been taken over by Terresa and Tony it has been totally transformed and is now called Pano2 if viable they are looking at taking over the empty bar between Pano1 & 2. It is still very popular with Brits.
Josep of Bar Josep which celebrated its 50th year has not been keeping in the best of health and in June 2017 was only working a short morning shift with his wife Isabel (they have a 9 year old son), and in September he had been in hospital having a pacemaker fitted but we did manage to see him a couple of times in the bar at lunchtime and looked well.
Fileu the multilingual friend of many visitors has not been well and is now being cared for in a hospital/home in Lloret greatly missed after having spent many hours in his company.
Sadly many other well known faces locals and visitors are no longer to be seen!
